You have a beautiful family and I feel honored to have been asked to capture this special moment in your lives. Robert is lucky to have such amazing parents like you :)

Evelyn + Family

This past weekend I got to photograph an amazing family for the second time! I work with Stacie who just had her 2nd baby, Evelyn, aka…Lil E :) Stacie and her husband Jason are incredibly kind people and I feel honored that they invited me into their home to photograph this joyous moment in their lives. Stacie, Jason and Clara, congratulations on your new, beautiful & healthy baby girl!!

Precious Evelyn.

Man this kid is lucky to have such an amazing mother like you, Stacie!

Clara is such a GREAT big sis!

There's just something about a new baby in her/his father's arms. Comfort. Safety.

You can always tell a good father when you see one. I say again, this kid is a lucky one!

The love and compassion is so evident.

A mother's joy around her new born is so pure and raw.

Beautiful girls :)

Capturing some alone time between a mother and her newborn is my absolute favorite moment to capture. It's natural, it's not posed, it's just real.

Family of 4! :)

Rob & Carrie Maternity!

I had the pleasure of traveling to Columbus, OH to take maternity pictures for two amazing people, Rob & Carrie. I met Carrie through my sister's close friend because Carrie is her older sister… did you get that connection?? At any rate, Carrie & Rob are expecting this spring and I couldn't be more happy for them. They were very easy going and very welcoming to me as we went on to explore Columbus for the shoot.

Carris & Rob, thank you for allowing me to come into your home and being so patient during the session! Congratulations on your soon to be bundle of joy!!

This baby is lucky to be born into such an amazing family :)

Train tracks: a metaphor for the future ahead for Rob & Carrie perhaps?

Moneyyyyy Shotttttt :) My fave!

You two make a great couple :)

It will be here before you know it, Carrie!

Thank you again for being so wonderful during the session!

Baby Henry + Family

What better way to start off the year than with a newborn session! This is the 2nd time I have been fortunate enough to photograph my cousin's family and my how things change! Just last year they were a lovely family of 4 and are now complete as a family of 5! Dare I say family of 6 next year?? :) They are so fun and the older siblings, Lily and Charlie are so good with their new baby brother. Lily was all about having her pictures taken with Henry while Charlie was off playing… typical right? Girl in front of the camera, boy in the other room playing…:) I love photographing this family and can't wait for the next time around this summer! Enjoy the photos! We are so happy to have baby Henry in our family!

Don't you just want to squish that little face?!?!

Henry is really rocking that sweet mohawk.

Can't get enough of baby's feet!!

Matt & Katie, you are such wonderful parents. These kids are lucky :)

I love me a sweet mother & new baby candid moment.

Enter in big sister, Lily!

The moment a newborn and parents lock eyes in pure love….priceless.

Comfort.

What you can't see through this photo is me taking a bunch of photos while these two are yelling "cheeeeeese, cheeeeeese, cheeeeeeese" over and over and over. They sure do know how to make you smile!

I absolutely love the chaotic love in a family with little kids and babies. No family is perfect and kids rarely pose perfectly for photos, so why make it look staged? Charlie is the perfect image of a little boy at his age. 1 1/2 years old and lovin' life.

And how can you forget the glue that holds all families together….the pup :)

Ryan + Gina + Jase + Misha + Rowan

The Salin's everyone!

These kids could not be any cuter and Ryan and Gina could not be nicer. This was a fantastic family to shoot.

I feel like I should explain why this was so fun. See, Gina is Janah's sister. So on that day, we did a wholeeeee lot of shooting. We included the grandparents, and with all the kids there was definitely lots of giggling going on and maybeeeeee some acting like a monkey to get the kids to smile (not naming any names….. Gina…..) ;) Jase and Misha were amazing- all I had to do was promise to take some of Jase by himself so he would smile… and of course, I happily obliged. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

This is definitely one good looking family.

Proud Mama.

Proud papa.

You two are beautiful.

I was SO excited about doing this picture. I tackled sewing for the first time ever… everrrrr. And I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself. With some help from wonderful friends we were able to make these cute props for the shot! I mean seriously, how cute they?
Rowan is killing me with his cuteness, for reals.

The Salin family! :)

Jase's self portrait!

Here's Misha!

And last, but certainly not least…. Rowan!

We had to improvise to get Rowan to smile…why not throw him in the air?

I think this is my favorite. Rowan was beating to his own drum all day, the kids would run to Gina and Ryan and he'd run the opposite way… He's a little rebel :)
I love the love this family has for each other.
