Ryan + Gina + Jase + Misha + Rowan

The Salin's everyone!

These kids could not be any cuter and Ryan and Gina could not be nicer. This was a fantastic family to shoot.

I feel like I should explain why this was so fun. See, Gina is Janah's sister. So on that day, we did a wholeeeee lot of shooting. We included the grandparents, and with all the kids there was definitely lots of giggling going on and maybeeeeee some acting like a monkey to get the kids to smile (not naming any names….. Gina…..) ;) Jase and Misha were amazing- all I had to do was promise to take some of Jase by himself so he would smile… and of course, I happily obliged. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

This is definitely one good looking family.

Proud Mama.

Proud papa.

You two are beautiful.

I was SO excited about doing this picture. I tackled sewing for the first time ever… everrrrr. And I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself. With some help from wonderful friends we were able to make these cute props for the shot! I mean seriously, how cute they?
Rowan is killing me with his cuteness, for reals.

The Salin family! :)

Jase's self portrait!

Here's Misha!

And last, but certainly not least…. Rowan!

We had to improvise to get Rowan to smile…why not throw him in the air?

I think this is my favorite. Rowan was beating to his own drum all day, the kids would run to Gina and Ryan and he'd run the opposite way… He's a little rebel :)
I love the love this family has for each other.

Janah + Duane + Leo

Lots of photos comin' at ya!!

I can't believe it's been 7 MONTHS since I've last photographed this family. Leo was my first newborn session and he was even more amazing this time around.  He has the most amazing rolls I think I've ever seen on a baby!

This session was so fun to do. We started off with some updated family shots outdoors followed by holiday shots for Leo's first Christmas and the Christmas card! What a wonderful time of year :)

That smile and giggles he has is just infectious and I am so lucky to have these people in my life. Being around these three you can't help but feel anything but happiness.  Janah and Duane, thank you for trusting me to document this journey in your life :) Love you all to the moon and back!

The Esquivel boys :)

Remember a similar photo from the maternity session?? :) Time sure-does-fly.

THOSE CHEEKS!!

Leooooo!

There's something about Christmas lights that just makes you feel all warm & bright inside.

Ugh Leo you are too stinkin' cute!

Best Christmas gift Janah and Duane could ask for.

Pure happiness.

Money. Shot. Seriously… are you kidding me with those cheeks?!

Investigating the bright things.

I'm kind of in love with this photo. Santa's little helper :)

You guys rock. FUH-Real.

Jason + Stacie + Clara

I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing this amazing family. I know Stacie through work and she nothing short of awesome. Her husband Jason, a 1st grade teacher (can I get a collective "awwwww") is a wonderful father to Clara. Speaking of Clara, this girl has got some personality! Not shy-at-all. She is a gem and a half. She just wanted to play the whole time during the session and I can't say I blame her- we were taking pictures in her playroom after all :) It was a little tough for her to pose for the camera so what did we do? Took a bunch of candids! Here are a few family pictures for Clara turning 2 and some lovely holiday family photos. Enjoy!

I love how blissfully unaware children are of what is going on around them :)

Clara's 2!!

This is what I like to call a money shot. Love the light, love the innocence, love the softness...

Stacie & Jason :)

This little girl is lucky to have a wonderful mother like you, Stacie.

....and for the Christmas card! Merry Christmas friends! :)

Amy & Brandon Get Hitched

Hello! It's been a while since I've last updated the blog, so naturally I thought I'd come back with a bang....my FIRST WEDDING!! I was ecstatic when Amy and Brandon asked me to shoot their wedding. I've known Amy for years, all the way back to when I was in high school and she was at UD with my brother! I was thrilled for her when she met the man of her dreams, Brandon. They are two peas in a pod. Two great people coming together to live one stellar life as husband and wife. Congrats to you both and THANK YOU for letting me be apart of this special day! :)

Sister helping sister with the family pearls :)

Introducing: Baby Anna

I am so excited to share these photos! I used to work with Susan at my old company in Chicago and was so happy when she asked me to take her newborn photos! Her and her husband just had their first child, Anna a few weeks ago and isn't she the cutest?! She was a week old when we took these (just about 4 weeks old now) and I couldn't believe how well she did. Slept through basically the whole session :) Thank you, Susan for letting me be apart of this wonderful experience!!

Sweet baby Anna :)

"A" for Anna!

Nothing like a father-daugther moment :)

Susan, you are an amazing mother!

This is one lucky baby girl!
